The Warracknabeal campus of Rural Northwest Health comprised a significant number of seperate buildings on different levels spread over the existing site. The challenge for the condultant team was to integrate all of the proposed health services into a single efficiently planned and operating facility where the building would become an icon for the local community. Follows an extensive review of the existing site was selected for redevelopment and is being implemented over stages. Baade Harbour were commissioned to carry out the first stage of the development. The sweeping roof form at the entry and over the central core will provide a dominating feature whilst the bedroom wings are based on typical rural forms for the 4, 15 bed aged care wings.

The project includes collection of treated rainwater for drinking and treated grey water for garden watering, together with provisions for toilet flushing in the future.
