Bruce Baade

In addition to the day to day management, management of up to 15 staff, marketing and promoting Baade Harbour Australia, Bruce is also responsible for the initial, development and management of all projects undertaken by BHA’s Melbourne office. He has specialized in delivering Educational projects over the past 24 years, principally in the design area, the procedure and planning phases, through to the contract completion. 

Bruce is also a qualified teacher, as well as being a registered Project Manager and Architect, with teaching experience in TAFE and teacher training. His background is unique in that it gives him a greater appreciation and understanding of the learning environments that are required to deliver student outcomes and teaching practice. He undertakes and coordinates all meetings with the user groups, attends the necessary meetings with all stakeholders and makes presentations as required on behalf of the user groups.

Bruce has an extensive knowledge of Contract conditions (including AS 2124 and AS 4300), is able to advise Clients and Builders on contractual matters and acted as an arbiter on many projects.

He has an excellent appreciation of project requirements, understands the importance of using appropriate processes and ensures ESD principles are applied to all projects.  He was also on the original planning group that developed the DEECD Facility Standards Handbook and recently completed working with the DEECD as a technical/design consultant for the eleven PPP school projects undertaken by the Victorian Government.

Bruce has an inherent appreciation of the need to meet State Government funding budgets and timeline provisions and been responsible for the delivery of over 600 projects, ranging in value from $500,000 to $20,000.000.  Projects have included extensions/upgrades of existing Primary and Secondary school facilities, new Secondary Colleges, new Primary Schools, new P-9 facilities, 10-12 senior campus facilities and specialist learning facilities.
